Choose the class before choosing the heat
Hot yoga in the Baltimore area includes fixed-sequence 26&2 classes, flowing vinyasa, and yoga inside larger fitness clubs. Start with the kind of instruction you want, then compare temperature, duration and location. A 60-minute flowing class can feel very different from a 90-minute sequence even when both are advertised as hot yoga.
For northeast Baltimore and Parkville, start with Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness. For the southwest side, compare Hot Yoga Baltimore on Wilkens Avenue with Rolling Brook Yoga in Catonsville. Towson residents can also investigate The Mine. These are separate businesses, and not every class at a heated-yoga venue uses the same room conditions.
Parkville: Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness
Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness is at 9512 Harford Road, Suite 1, in Parkville. Its published class descriptions include Classic 26&2, shorter versions of that sequence, and Hot Vinyasa. It also has non-heated classes, so check the room and class name when reserving.
The studio says its 26&2 classes use a 105°F room with at least 40% humidity; its FAQ describes Hot Vinyasa at around 96–98°F. That specificity is useful when comparing venues. Read the description of the exact session, particularly before choosing a shorter or music-led format.
Bikram yoga in Baltimore: names and formats
Bikram-method classes are often labeled 26&2. Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness publishes a 90-minute Classic version, a 75-minute Express version and a faster 60-minute option intended for students familiar with the sequence. Shorter does not automatically mean easier.
The Parkville studio previously operated as Bikram Yoga Mid Atlantic and says it changed its name in 2015. It is distinct from Hot Yoga Baltimore, whose own history identifies its former name as Bikram Yoga Catonsville. The latter is at 4652 Wilkens Avenue and advertises 90-minute Hot Bikram classes. Check the street address as well as the name when following an older recommendation.
Catonsville and Towson: heated flow alternatives
Rolling Brook Yoga, at 730 Frederick Road, Suite 203, lists Sunrise Hot Yoga, Wake Up + Warm Up Flow, Heated Power Flow and Heated Vinyasa Flow. Its descriptions distinguish introductory-friendly choices from sessions requiring previous experience. The heated vinyasa listing specifically calls for an established practice; read beyond the word “heated.”
The Mine in Towson describes an infrared-heated yoga studio and lists Power Vinyasa, Restorative, Beginner Foundations Yoga and Meditation among its yoga offerings. Confirm the temperature and format of your chosen session rather than assuming each uses identical heat. It is a broader fitness-club setting, which may suit someone who also wants other workouts.
How much does hot yoga cost in Baltimore?
Published single-class prices checked on October 6, 2026 range from $20 at Rolling Brook Yoga to $35 at Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness and $39 at Hot Yoga Baltimore. These are examples from three providers, not a citywide average. Confirm the price and class eligibility in the official booking system before paying.
Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness’s dedicated rates page lists a $49 introductory pass for 20 days, restricted to local residents new to the studio and requiring activation within 30 days of purchase. It also lists $139 monthly auto-pay and a $290 ten-class card. Some other pages on its website still show older prices, so use the rates page and checkout.
Rolling Brook lists a $75 new-student pass for five classes over three months. Compare the classes you can actually attend, expiration dates, recurring billing and cancellation rules. A cheap introductory week is less useful if your chosen class only fits once.
Make the first visit manageable
Ask what to bring before buying equipment: a mat, towel and water are sensible items to check, but rental and inclusion policies differ. Leave time for parking, changing and explaining that you are new. Rolling Brook requires advance registration and does not accept walk-ins; Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness locks its doors at class start.
If you have a condition affected by heat or questions about whether a heated class is suitable, ask your clinician before booking. During pregnancy, ACOG advises avoiding hot yoga because of overheating risk. Choose a pregnancy-specific, non-heated option instead.
Frequently asked questions
Is all hot yoga in Baltimore Bikram yoga?
No. The area also has heated vinyasa and other formats. Compare a studio’s class description rather than treating “hot yoga” as the name of one sequence.
Can beginners take a 26&2 class?
Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness identifies its Classic 26&2 format as an option for beginners. Ask the studio which session to choose; its shorter and music-led versions have different expectations.
Is Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness the former Bikram Yoga Mid Atlantic?
Yes. The Parkville studio’s own history confirms the former name and a 2015 renaming. Its current address is 9512 Harford Road, Suite 1.
Where can I try heated yoga without buying a membership?
Rolling Brook Yoga, Baltimore Hot Yoga & Wellness and Hot Yoga Baltimore publish single-class options. Check the exact session, reservation requirements and any equipment charges first.
Does infrared heated yoga mean a particular temperature?
No temperature should be assumed from that label alone. The Mine describes infrared heating, but you should ask for the room conditions of the class you intend to book.
