Start with the right part of South Baltimore

For a yoga-focused studio near Key Highway, start with CorePower Yoga Federal Hill. For a larger fitness club, compare Merritt Clubs Federal Hill at 921 East Fort Avenue. For an independent studio farther east on the peninsula, BambooMoves is at 1624 East Fort Avenue in Locust Point. These are three different settings, and the broader South Baltimore label is more useful than pretending they all sit beside Cross Street Market.

Choose the trip you can repeat after an ordinary workday. A class that requires rushing across the peninsula may be less useful than a slightly different format close to home. Check the actual street address and class end time before buying a package.

Match the class to the experience you want

BambooMoves advertises Hatha, vinyasa, yin and restorative yoga, plus private instruction and yoga with live music. That variety makes it a sensible place to compare a more active session with a quieter class. Read each description: a studio offering restorative yoga does not mean every class is slow.

CorePower separates its formats clearly: C1 emphasizes foundational flow without added heat, C2 is a heated, more challenging flow, and Yoga Sculpt incorporates weights and cardio. Those are company-wide descriptions; confirm which formats appear on the Federal Hill schedule. Merritt explicitly advertises hot yoga at its Federal Hill club, so it is worth comparing if you also want gym facilities.

Compare the regular price, not just the introduction

At the October 6, 2026 check, CorePower Federal Hill displayed a $31 single class and $179 monthly All Access membership, before applicable taxes and surcharges. BambooMoves listed a $28 studio drop-in, $210 for ten classes expiring after four months, and $119 monthly unlimited on auto-renew. Its five-class monthly option was $95. Confirm the price and renewal terms before purchase.

BambooMoves’ ten-class pack works out to $21 per visit only if you use all ten before expiry. For once-a-week attendance, compare that deadline with your travel and work calendar. Request Merritt’s current membership or guest quote, including any enrollment charges, and compare only plans that include the location and class you want.

Allow time for the entrance, not just the drive

CorePower’s arrival address is 820 Harvey Street. Its studio is on the second floor of the MedStar Health Medical Center at 1420 Key Highway, entered from the second level of the parking deck. The studio page says parking is free while attending. Saving the entrance address helps avoid arriving at the wrong side of the building.

For BambooMoves and Merritt, check their own arrival and parking instructions before leaving. Do not assume another business’s garage or a nearby residential space is available. Ask about step-free entry if you need it, and include changing time in your plan.

Book a useful first comparison

Pick one class you can realistically attend twice, then compare it with one different format. Ask about mat rental, room temperature and how much prior experience is expected. Use the official schedule links below for the date you intend to visit; this guide does not reproduce a timetable that may change.

If an older recommendation mentions Charm City Yoga, treat it as historical context rather than a current booking destination. YogaWorks acquired that business in 2015. For CorePower bookings, use its separate current directory, which lists Federal Hill, Brewers Hill and Rotunda in Baltimore. An old studio address is not evidence that a class still runs there.

Frequently asked questions

Is BambooMoves in Federal Hill?

BambooMoves is in Locust Point at 1624 East Fort Avenue. It is a South Baltimore alternative, rather than a studio in Federal Hill proper.

Where do I enter CorePower Federal Hill?

Use 820 Harvey Street for the parking deck, then enter the studio from the deck’s second level. Check the official studio page before your first visit.

Can I find yoga without added heat?

CorePower describes C1 as having no added heat. Check the Federal Hill timetable for availability, and ask BambooMoves about the temperature of your chosen class.

Do I need an unlimited membership?

No. CorePower and BambooMoves list single classes and class packs. Compare expiry dates and the number of classes you will actually attend.

Where can I find today’s classes?

Use CorePower’s Federal Hill page, BambooMoves’ Class Schedule page, or Merritt’s Federal Hill schedule. Reserve through the provider, not this independent guide.
